- Experimental site
- Tilburg (The Netherlands)
- Office building
- Size: 34800 m2
The project consists of building a sustainable (BREEAM qualification: very good) logistics build-ing (distribution center) for a developer/investor. The building is used by a manufacturer of first-class socks and body wear. The building is located in Tilburg, The Netherlands, and has a total size of just under 35.000 m2, and with a possibility to expand another 14.000 m2. The building consists of an office of 1.800 m2, 3.000 m2 expedition floor and a distribution hall of 30.000 m2..
The results of Heembouws’ Pilot Field Lab were tested in this project training session. The work-place coach used the second version of the step-by-step guide of the low trim roof detail to test the results with the roofing companies Primadak and Cladding.
The roofing companies were instructed on how to read and use the step-by-step guide and how to relate the information to the IFC-model of the project. It was important to see if the method and information could be passed on to other blue collar workers to see if it would help them lower failure costs and improve quality. The final version of the step-by-step guide will be used in the other projects of Heembouw.
